Infrastructure for the Next Generation of Transport Energy

Modern Mobility develops site-based infrastructure systems

that connect transport demand with energy generation, storage,

charging and digital control – from engineering to implementation.

From Research to Implementation

The Modern Mobility Institute develops technology-neutral research and

decision methods for Transport Energy Infrastructure (TEI) - examining how transport demand, energy availability, infrastructure economics and public policy interact.

Modern Mobility takes the next step:

turning site-specific requirements into engineered infrastructure projects. We combine operating data, technology, system integration and commercial

analysis to determine what should be built - and, where the case is strong, move into implementation.

Research frames the problem. Evidence qualifies the project.

Engineering turns a viable case into infrastructure.

A Practical Delivery Framework for

Transport Energy Infrastructure (TEI)

Existing transport infrastructure already combines operating

activity, physical assets and energy demand.

The opportunity is to determine where those conditions can be engineered into a technically credible, economically justified and implementable infrastructure project.

This first whitepaper in Modern Mobility’s Implementation Series shows how we move from a qualified location to engineering,

investment preparation and implementation - using the operator’s existing site knowledge as the starting point.

From Site Selection to Implementation

One Integrated Ecosystem

No single technology defines the solution.

Each site requires its own combination of energy generation, storage, mobility, digital control and infrastructure engineering.

Building Infrastructure,
Not Just Technology

Transport electrification is becoming an infrastructure challenge.

Energy must be available where transport operations require it

– at the right location, at the right time and at the required power level.

Modern Mobility develops the infrastructure architecture around those operating requirements, combining technology, engineering and implementation into projects that can be built, operated and scaled.

Start With a Real Site

If you operate, develop or finance transport infrastructure with a material

energy requirement, let us examine the site.

We identify the constraint, qualify the infrastructure case

and determine what should move forward.
